This sawbench has been designed for the serious home user who wants to accurately process solid wood but also has the need to handle sheets up to 915mm in width. The main advantages of this machine are the cast iron main table for solid support and the professional style sliding beam ensuring smooth, minimal friction travel and because there is no gap or table to bridge, much more accurate results. In addition there is a very solid rip fence with micro-adjustment - the heavy extrusion is mounted on a cast iron base with cam lock, which is in turn on a
solid steel bar for maximum rigidity and support.
The standard machine is supplied with a locking mitre fence and the beam has a stroke of 915mm to enable panel sizing and cross cutting up to 3'. If large numbers of bigger sheets are regularly processed, there is an optional steel squaring frame and cross-cut fence supported by a telescopic arm. The standard capacity to the right of the blade is 610mm for ripping up to 2' but an optional cast iron extension is available to increase this capacity to 915mm if required. A compact and portable planer thicknesser which is light enough to move off the bench when not in use and yet tough enough to produce 8"x5" timber into flat and dimensioned pieces. The planing beds are precision ground aluminium and the guide fence is rigid steel which can be tilted and locked at any angle up to 45 degrees
when required. The steel thicknessing bed has an extension arm on the out feed side and is supported in each corner by chain
driven adjusting screws. Once the height is set, rubber coated feed rollers pass the timber through the cutter. The dust hood is particularly good, fitting on top of the thicknessing bed during planing operations and then moved over the top when thicknessing. A location sensor detects that the dust hood has been correctly fitted before allowing the motor to run.

12" Planer Thicknesser

The PT300 has heavily ribbed cast iron surfacing tables and a generous cast iron thicknessing table. The machine is housed
in a single, heavy steel frame for riditity and stability and boasts a 3hp induction motor to provide plenty of power for the 12" x 8" capacities and the maximum 5mm cut.
The 70mm block has three knives to allow faster feed speeds and provide a good quality finish. Anti kickback fingers protect
the user as the knurled steel infeed roller drives timber easily into the block. The outfeed roller has a heavy rubber sleeve to
protect the newly planed surface.
The heavy fence extrusion is mounted on a large cast iron mount which tilts to 45° and is quickly and easily reset to 90° with the
aid of an adjustable stop. This is then mounted on a thick steel bar which in turn is mounted in another substanial casting fixed to the outfeed table. When changing to thicknessing mode it is only necessry to tilt the outfeed table which simply flips up
without encroaching into valuable workshop space and the fence remains mounted on the table with no need to remove it, saving time and avoiding the need to continually reset every time you return to sufacing.
This powerful machine can take up to 5mm cuts and these adjustments can be quickly and easily made in either mode. When
surfacing there is a simple lever to raise and lower the infeed table and when thicknessing there is a large handwheel to
raise and lower the thicknessing table and a large clear scale for guidance. Five Year Warranty.
